I agree... sort of. I quite like those flat nose ones, but I woudn't choose one over a later one; not that I really have a choice right now because I'm utterly BROKE with a knackered Saab that desparatly needs a new engine if it's ever going to see tarmac again.

The 2/4 doors are rare, but they are truly ugly. Sorry chaps out there with 2/4 doors, but that's just my personal opinion. Saab have this beautiful design, wonderful sweeping, concave curving rear end, and then they go and stick that flat, square boot on the saloon models... WHY???? Don't know, I wasn't there, I couldn't stop the designer and say 'hang on a second Sven, what the **** are you doing!'.

I can see this debate going on, but I say 3 or 5 doors good. 2 or 4 doors bad.

Oh yes. £2000 will buy you a good'un over here. More for something really special, but for good overall condition, that's about top-wack. There are cars out there for £4500, but they're mainly 'specialists' who like to make HUGE profits.

ummm, 2 and 4 doors aren't ugly, true i never thought of them much before but they have gown on me. i had a 89' t16 4door and it was a damm sexy car, all black with factory fitted 3 spoke wheels! in all honesty saabs at first glance come off to many people as hideous, but then it grows on you to appreciate its wonderful style. when i was little there was a teacher at my elementary school who had an spg, it stood out like a sore thumb from all the other cars (spg would have been near new then!). she was a strange teacher who drove a "swaaab". but now i see an spg as go "oooooooh, look at that car". i got all my friends going "OMG OMG LOOK, ITS A FRIGGEN SAAB!!!" and thoes flat nose 4 doors, they look sweet!...does anybody ever know what happened to Joe..aka "NSE", he had that beautiful 83' 900 t8 4 door in that cool silver-blue colour. he is/was somewhat local to me, but what happened?

99 rear end was nicer though. Dated now, but still better.

Runs away and hides
