Hi, has anyone got a picture of either a twin carb manifold on it's own or attached to an engine, i need to see if i could convert my ITB's to fit on a twin carb manifold.

You thinking of going Twin Carbed then Si? I reckon you'll something stiffer than strombergs if you want to pull track car power from it...

I reckon the Strombergs are probably good for something like 115 - 120 bhp with a K&N filter. You can adapt SUs to fit the manifold, which are supposedly a bit more tuneable, but Dellorto or Weber will require a different manifold. They are available, but they're as rare as rocking horse poo and get snatched up quickly.

Sonett1 has used the weber carb manifold for his 4 Jenvey Throttle bodies. Frankly its intake manifold porn, but I can't find his photo gallery (used to have some uploaded on moosefarts' Saabphoto facility)

Cheers, i was wondering if they were more like the misu DCOE manifold, unfortunately not:( , will carry on with modifying a T8 one, tis for the track car, but will have a throttle body per cylinder fed from a uuuge chargecooler, which i'll probably build from either 2 or 4 stock 900 intercoolers:cheesy: , maybe mid mounted aswell!

Oooh showing of your inlet again:cheesy:

BIRDYMANGO actually got me thinking with his topbodgery, hopefully i can cut up a load of turbo/intercooler piping to join between the cut down runners and the throttle bodies.

ANYWAY HERE IS THE GENUINE ARTICLE SAAB SPORT & RALLY MANIFOLD.....ON MY N/A RALLY CAR

ALL THEY DID FOR THE 99 TURBO IS TO DRILL AND WELD THE INJECTORS AND PLACE THEM WHERE THE ARROW IS...............AND THEN BUILD THEIR OWN THROTTLE BODIES.............COOL EH.??


AND THE INTERCOOLER PIPING FOR THE 99 CLARION TURBO REPLICA,I AM DOING AT THE MOMENT.........

any idea where i can find an intake? curious about the linkage and how to get around all the injection stuff on the car?

I sold my NOS MSS intake to DrewP a few years ago. Might ping him to see if he is willing to give it up?
I'll see Dan at the convention next month and ask him how he set his up and if he has any leads on the Misab intake.
