Parts Advice:
- Fortune Auto 500 XWD Coilovers - Review and installation information
- Lacrosse Diff works for Turbo-X XWD - Parts source here
- Rubber axle boots for the TX are interchangeable with SRX/La Crosse -- $40 kits... No need to spend 100s/1000 for axle replacement on account of torn boot!
- XWD suspensions: Hirsch, via Cardyourcar.eu, has self-leveling shocks (rear) + front w springs for about $1300 USD (plus postage and presumably import duty at port of entry)
- Recommended brake pad upgrade:EBC red (road), yellow (track)
- Front 345mm rotor OEM part number: 93195754

This is soooo cooool!
Many thanks for this.
My TX SC is number 1938 of 1966, worldwide, so late in the production run.
BUT, were there only 1966 made?
Where are the missing 34?

There are now 1979 VINs + 4 pre-production VINs in the database and I'm 99.5% certain that this is it. 2000 was a market number released well before the majority of the cars were built, so 1979/1983 might as well be equal to 2000. Plus, they were built in early to mid 2008, which was a time of chaos and low confidence in the brand, so I'm sure they built as many as they could sell to dealers.

Ok now I'm 1951 of 1979, still 21 (17) missing, maybe even never made... With TXs being totaled, this club is getting more and more exclusive... :/

European Auto Service in Willis TX is a trusted shop to service my TX since 2013. Although there aren't many TX or XWD Saabs down here, but I'm just gonna throw it out there if anyone near that area ever need anything.

Fixing XWD internal leak

Thanks for the update Iari. Although this thread relates to the XWD system on the NG 95, most of the system components are the same. The service bulletin referenced in the thread provides excellent information on how to repair the dreaded internal leak between the rear diff and eLSD including the needed parts.

Another TurboX friendly shop is Volvo Village of Hingham. They also have an in ground alignment rack. Lowered cars are welcome. One of their techs, Shawn Bumpus, even has a TurboX himself and loaners are generally easy to come by.
