I have a 97 900se turbo, and when i jump on the gas pretty hard, it will go for about 5 seconds, then its like the turbo stops spooling for a second or two because it has no power and it lurches you forward out of your seat, then it will have power again....any ideas would be helpful...thanks

This sounds like boost cut. When the boost pressure gets too high, the ECU cuts power to the fuel pump until the pressure decreases. It's going to happen more in cold weather since the air is denser and obviously colder, and the turbo is much more efficient now too. This should not happen in first or second gear since the ECU limits boost in those gears, but a dirty or failing BPC will let it overboost in all gears. Third through fifth gears are where I expect this is happening to your car... Ron
