You have the T5 ECM, so installing either is an option. With a Blow off valve, you just plug the return pipe so that no unfiltered air makes its way into the turbo, and let the excess air dump into the atmosphere. If you want to replace with a BPV, just install it the same way as the current setup, as the current setup has a BPV.

That's not really a performance upgrade, and judging by your budget, doesn't sound like money well spent. What are you trying to accomplish?

If you want that woosh sound, you could start by recoming the snorkle for the air filter. I think you have to rip off the driver's side wheel well to gain access though. A little bit of a pain. But really, you'd need to either swiss cheese your lower airbox, or just remove it and adapt an open element like a k+n cone in it's place.

Or, you could flip the stock bypass valve, plug the intake port, and vent it to the atmosphere. If that's not enough, you could rig up some sort of horn to the BPV output to really get that PSSSSSSH sound.

Money better spent would be to get a usb-bdm adapter and reprogram your ECU. Do you have the APC module in your 9000? Could go the manual boost controller route as well.
