91 9000 Abott

I am not completely sure of all mods because car was seconhand.

Large valve Abott head.
Abott LSD.
Massive Abott intercooler which dwarfs radiator.
Koni adjustable shocks.
Abott springs.
Reprogrammed ecu.
Manual boost valve.
Large bore exhaust.
Brakes largely standard but grooved on rear.
Not sure of clutch but feels like comp type.
I removed the Azek 17 wheels with Michelin and put 15 with Yokahama.
I put poly bushes on the front wishbone as the existing were worn. Would like to change all to poly eventually.

Abott told me they expect about 260 bhp but did not measure.
The car seems extremely fast to me compared to my BMW 850 which has a 5 litre v12.
Presently I am repairing the engine which had a blown turbo and head gasket. Also looking to lighten car by removing anything not essential. The seats are rather heavy, The electric sunroof can go. Radio CD and speakers can go. Lots of glass could be replaced with acrylic. All central locking can go. I am looking into a roll cage but a bit hard to afford, does anyone have plans to make one. Thought I would put bars across the front and rear suspension mounts. A fuel cell in place of the tank might be good. Some sort of aerodynamic improvements would be nice.

Interested to exchange ideas with anyone with similar ambitions. Hoping to turn what was a fast car into an even faster one. Anyone who knows the car would be welcome to get in touch apparently it belonged to Abott Racings photographer.

Not a t25 in fact. It's a 15t td04. Gear ratio is now 4.55. This car has been smashing 4.05 boxes and I still want a bigger turbo. Maybe I could try 18t wheel.

Model: Saab 9000 CSE 2.3 LPT
Year: 1996
Turbo: Stock
Pistons: Yes, four
Rods: I expect so
Crank: No, electric start
Block: Yes

Turbo Pressure: Probably way lower then it should be.
Torque mount bushings: both knackered I expect.

Fuel Pump: Possibly faulty?
Fuel injectors: Clogged
Fuel Rail and Lines: Stock but I cleaned them up and repainted.

Front Brake Discs: Scarred and rusty
Rear Brake Discs: PFS items, nice and affordable
Front Brake Calipers: Stock (Rebuilt)
Rear Brake Calipers: Stock, one side faulty

Suspension Shocks: Very tired
Springs: See above
Sway bar front: Stock
Sway bar rear: Stock, cleaned and painted
Bushings: All front items due to be replaced, with stock ones

Wheels Brand: Stock
Wheels Offset: Don't even know what that means
Bolt pattern: evenly spaced
Hubcentric adapters?: Hub whattric?
Wheel Size: 15"
Tires Brand: A mix of part-worn items
Tires Size: 195/65/R15

Modifications: None - I prefer my Saabs the way Saab designed them and i'm far too old to care less about having more horses under the bonnet, it goes fast enough already. Having said that, I did change the side repeaters for clear ones as they look better with the standard clear corners. I also repainted or replaced the faded emblems and badges, clean it every weekend and generally look after the car in a slightly obsessive manner. It's my pride and joy and given the money it would have every single issue fixed in a heartbeat!
