So let me preface this by saying I am a dummy.

SO last week, I went to move some furniture and had my trunk bungee corded. Went over some railroad tracks and the trunk kinda bounced up and slammed back down on the locking mechanism (I imagine that is where the sensor is). And now it keeps saying that the trunk is open even though it is closed.

The trunk opens and closes just fine with the key fob and the button by the driver side. But it keeps telling me to close the trunk, and it's getting frustrating when I get anywhere over 15mph it beeps and tells me so.

PS this is my first time posting, so if this is in the wrong section or whatever let me know! Thanks!!!!!

EDIT: I have an 07 Saab 9-3 2.0t

Is there a workaround so I don't have to replace the entire part?

yes it is where the switch is..

I can't answer whether it's in the wrong section as you haven't put any vehicle details in the post or your profile..
