OK, I just got my new 9-3ss this weekend, and I noticed something odd when I opened the trunk. The left hinge has a plastic trim covering it, and the right one doesn't. Now, this may be normal since the left one has the wiring going up it, but it looks odd. I have a US-spec 2005 model. What do you guys see on your hinges??

Same thing as yours. Practical Swedish thinking. No reason to make a plastic cover for the right hinge when there is nothing to cover.

My 03 is the same way. Nothing to fret about. It might look odd, but I'm happy they didn't waste the money for the other side. Makes me think though...
Nope, won't work. You can't put the left side one on the right side since it's symettrically opposite.
