Pg 91 of my user manual (07 SS)

Using DIST as a trip meter
1. Select Dist using the steering wheel controls
2. Press and hold CLR button for approx 1 second.
An arrow will now appear on the right hand side of the display, indicating that the trip meter is running.

Call me blind and stupid, but

a) I did this 3 times on the way to work this AM and did not see any arrow
b) saying the trip meter is running seems redundant.. when wouldn't it be running??? :)

Thanks,
Mike

Although the 2007 SID controller and display is different from the 2003 - 2006 models, the idea will be the same.

The DIST function allows you to set a distance, say 100 miles, and as you drive the mileage counts down from 100 to zero. The computer also uses this information to derive your ETA based on your average speed and distance remaining.

If you reset the DIST remaining to zero, the counter will go up as you drive along, from zero to 100 etc... When in this mode a little arrow should appear in the DIST display.
