I've searched and found posts relating to how to get the transmission out (need to work on clutch), but I can't get the intermediate shaft out of the differential to actually remove the transmission. It's currently sitting next to the engine on a jack, while the engine hangs from above.

Any tips?

I've loosened the three bolts that I can find on the bearing mount on the right side of the engine, and it's finally loose, but it won't come free. Do I need to remove the alternator?

Right now, I'm wishing I'd taken it to a shop. Thought this would be a lot simpler.
