I get a slight metalic clattering noise when I drive in low revs in second (mainly over the stupid speed bumps). It goes away with higher revs.

I wondered if it was the timing chain - perhaps rattling a little? My car is a 2000 aero with 80,000.

Is there a way to adjust the tension on the timing chain? Would this help?

Is it something to be addressed when I allow Weston to service my car at Nottingham Saab - or is it really a DIY job?

Thanks for any comments guys....

Cheers

Chris - Thanks for the prompt response!

I take it that you mean it is NOT a DIY job - and it IS an "expert only" affair?
