Hi All

A few more months of fairly trouble free motoring (apart from key not accepted messages on SID) then the gremlins strike again.

This afternoon the CEL came on and performance dropped. The throttle limp home had activated. I reset this following the excellent advice on this site and all is now Ok. Having disconnected the battery while resetting the throttle the CEL has cleared, I presume along with any OBD codes.

This happened about a year ago and was reset by my local Saab Dealer. I've had no troble with CEL or limp home since then, until now.

Is this something that can just happen or does it need more investigation? If it happens again do you think the OBD codes could be read by an off the shelf reader or is Tech 11 likely to be needed.
The car is a 2000 9-5 2lt LPT SE estate with 130,000 miles on it.

Cheers

Most likely to be a throttle body electrics issue, it tends to trip LHM if it senses the range is impaired. It may or may not trip again in a day, month or year. Carry on until it becomes a nuisance.
