SO i was wondering who has acutally gone ahead and done this. If you have did you much performance increase or any.
IM thinking of doing this today .. seems easy and im bored soooo

im guessing just use a dremel and some fine grit paper

Done it umpteen times on most cars I've owned, I'm not convinced it offers a discernable 'up' in performance but you've got to try, right?

Whilst there I've waisted [reduced in section] the throttle butterfly spindle too and used countersunk screws to increase overall full throttle cross section area, dunno if this helps but the 900 has this, the Cav will get it, dunno about the 9k as there's a turbo blowing so the gain is probably less.

that is my old throttle locked open, I'd smoothed out all the shape, but look at the throttle spindle, it is thinner in the middle also notice no screw heads sticking up, all my own work :cheesy:

well i just finished grinding it down .. friggen easy to little thing to do maybe ill notice it maybe not
