And isn't PCV also sometimes known as EGR = Exhaust Gas Recirculation (although less so in the Saab world), or is EGR something distinct from it?
Different source, different purpose:

PCV recycles all of the blowby gas from the crankcase because it is too dirty to vent.

EGR recycles some of the gas from the exhaust manifold to reduce the oxygen content in the cylinder. This lowers combustion temperature, decreasing the formation of nitrogen oxides.

Surprised no one has mentioned:

ESP- Electronic Stability Program(?)
BSR- Tuners what does it stand for?
TB- throttle body
EPV-evap purge valve
ACC- air conditioning control?
HOT- High output Turbo

WB= Weather Band on radio. Newer MY simply have "Band" (for AM/FM)

My 2004 manual still says "push the WB button" to change settings, that drove me nuts...couldn't find one anywhere. Come to find out, it was the Band button all along.
