On Saturday after a rough start my Purple coupe over-heated in street traffic. Just about the edge before the Red Zone. Took a ton of coolant, 2 quarts.
Over heated yesterday in street traffic but was fine at hwy cruising. Enbine running a bit rough at idle.....putt....putt...Ordered new style cylinder head bolts yesterday and today inspected plugs. 4 is the only wet plug, and no coolant in oil......I'm hoping not head gasket, narrowly escaped that previously when over-heating turned out to be a by-passed water pump.....

Any thoughts?

The 97's weren't the bad head-bolt ones...
It's a safe bet that it's just let go. I'd anticipate having to replace a head-gasket...soon.

Especially since you're over-heating.. and almost assuredly warping the head.
