Need Help Meshing NG Grill...

Ive been working on meshing out a NG grill and it has been going fairly smooth up until now. I got the grill apart although I nearly broke every tab and I removed all the plastic slats from the grill and sanded the surfaces smooth. Now comes the part I cant get around. I have wasted like 3 feet trying to cut the mesh to fit between the two pieces of the grill. With all of the little slots and holes for the tabs I cant get it to fit. Could anyone who has done this please help me out? Thanks guys!

what i did was cut out a rectangle big enough for the whole thing, and laid it over the black part of the grill (after taking off the silver front part). then i used a black permanent marker to mark where the slots/holes/tabs needed to be, then cut them out using snub nosed wire cutters, then fine tuned from there. worked out pretty well. good luck!:D

I appreciate you taking the effort but I think I'll be able to get it together once I get all this stupid mesh cut out to perfection. Thanks. Off to home depot I go for more mesh.

The ng900 grille took me about 2+hours from start to finish. I used a marker as mentioned and cut out all the little sections and getting it back together is also a pain.

Here is mine...

I cant believe how good you made it look.

I got sick of screwing around with the heavy gauge gutter guard. I'm a complete butter finger idiot. I tried like 3 times, so now im going to try and use this plastic version of gutter guard. It comes in black and it wont rust. Hopefully no one will be able to tell the difference. Oh and it was like $1.17 for 20 feet of the stuff.

The black fins are still in place behind it, and that sheet of guter guard was about $1.70 or so. It did take a while to do and I did use a marker to trace things out. Now you see where the horizontal bar is? The top is not attached to the bottom, so I really had to cut out 4 parts and fit them in the back, there was no way on this grill to keep it one sheet. If I were to take apart the grille, 4 pieces of mesh would drop out. Maybe that helps .
