I just installed new rotors and pads on my 2002 9-3 SE. Over last summer I lost the tension spring on my drivers caliper and never replaced it, to my own fault I got uneven wear on my pads. I bought a new set of springs and replaced them both, for unseen reasons I cant explain this damn thing wont stay on straight, one side keeps popping off, I lost the old one entirely.. What am I doing wrong, Ive tried bending them and cleaning the holes with a wire brush but the first time I apply the brake it pops out...Im going insane!!!

I never had this problem the first time I did the rotors and pads....

Did you ever resolve?

Chances are you are mounting the retaining spring the wrong way.
