I posted a few weeks ago about the audio issues I was having with my Saab 06' 93, and the general consensus was that my AMP1 needed to be replaced. However, I saw at least one response saying that someone had a similar issue and it was the 6 disc CD changer. Before I go and spend $600 on a new AMP1, I just want to know for sure that it isn't my CD changer or something. Is there a way to actually test any of this?

Sure. Find someone with a Tech 2 and take the CD player out of the loop, or buy a loopback connector and physically take it out of the optical loop. If everything works after it is eliminated from the loop then it was the CD player. If not, it is probably Amp1. Have you popped out the amp yet and look at it? It is usually the culprit in 95% of the cases.
