I drove the 9-3 SportCombi Aero 6 Speed at the US SOC in Vermont and all I can say is WOW!

The V-6 is great!!! No turbo lag, no torque steer. The steering feels tighter than my 2003 Arc. I got rubber in 2nd and 3rd gear with TCS on!!! :cheesy:

Handled great in the mountains roads.

I didn't have the chance to play with the stereo. We were basicly in the middle of no where, and I doubt there were any "good" stations. I had XM in my car and listened to that the whole way to and from SOC.

One of the guys from Saab Corp drove one in from Michigan. He said he got 29-30 MPG on the highway.

I think they go on sale next month.

Saab Corp folks were there in huge numbers. The new GM of Saab gave the Key note speech on Sat night.

LOL, I was hoping his review of the turbo V6 would not have been as favorable. I am trying very hard to not like it. :)

At least your CFO went to a Wasaab meeting. All hope isn't lost. Unfortunately, I don't have the same leverage as I did when I bought the Arc. Back then, he just got a new car and I was driving around in a 5 year old SL2.

I have ordered the 2.8T V6 Aero saloon. Expected delivery 19th September. I am really looking forward to it. I drove an Aero with the Hartge upgrade (210bhp to 250bhp) and this was good. I expect the V6 to be just as quick but so much smoother

Now you have me worried. My Saab delaer confirmed to me last Tuesday that the car is due the week of 19 September.

It was ordered at the end of June, but there was some issues with the number of speakers and the business pack. I wanted the 7 speaker with business pack and he said that their ordering template only allowed the 13 speaker and business pack combination. I told them to proceed with this on 18th July. It is possible then that the order only went in on 18th July.
