I had my temperature sensor replaced a few weeks ago because the gauge kept dropping to 0 every time I drove for a few miles. Apparently that didn't work because tonight the gauge would only stay in the 7-8 o'clock position, then drop to 0 and the CEL comes on. I restarted my car and the temp gauge goes back to the 7-8 o'clock position but the CEL is still on. My guess is the thermostat is stuck open, but I'm not positive. Oddly enough, the car seems to accelerate a bit faster. Is it ok to drive with this problem or is it something that needs to be addressed immediately?
