youll still need to put in a CIM with a matching key. ive tried everything I could for someone without a key and theres no way around it

For the CIM , I think it goes 03-04 and then 05+. Keys, as long as theyre blank , work with any year. But to start just get a used cim with a matching key .

Just saying but, I'm in the market for a new CIM and i'm going to buy new. I'd hate this thing to fail again. For $315 for a new one and recode your old keys to it (the ECM remembers your keys) its a way safer option.

Thanks for the advice but I dont even have spare keys so I would be looking at buying those with expedited shipping plus programming.
Thanks for getting the thread back on track!! ;ol; I agree I think the Tech II owners should be compensated for their purchase and service to the community... it would be nice to get some cash back for you guys!
