I was searching online trying to figure out what this tech 2 code is and havent had any luck.

I should mention that I am using a vxc nano.

It gives me the same code no matter what module I try to add or remove.

A regular obd reader reads codes fine.

With the vcx sometimes I get the error code that I have selected the wrong year or wrong model car. But this is the only error I have with the vcx. All I am trying to do is program my lights.

I tried doing what you mentioned and this is what I got.

"I-BUS missing. Tech 2 cannot contact CIM via DLC pin 1.

Flash Hi beam to check bus. If OK, check pin 1 of DLC and its wire to CIM. If HI beam does not work, reason is a total I-BUS failure or no power supply to CIM. I-bus activity can be verified using test lamp 8611857 between DLC pins 1 and 4.
See fault tracing in WIS Section 3: BUS and diagnostics communication. "

I tried flashing my high beams then got this random switching where in the trunk it sounded like something switched on and off really quickly and it kept happening.

It's funny you mention this, yesterday as I got off my bus and tried to start my car it wouldn't start. I replaced the car battery 2 weeks earlier. I checked the alternator to see if it is charging the battery all checked out well. I got a little bit of a charge on the battery and when I put the key in the ignition I could not turn it and the dash displayed " Steering lock malfunct. Stop the car. Contact a Saab dealership." I suspect it is the key switch having issues. If I was to buy a key switch online do I need to do some kind of programming for it?

Battery is fully charged this morning. Error still shows as steering lock malfunction. The car is having two or more problems. One draining the battery and another that is showing that error.

The battery was disconnected overnight and charging. I ordered an ignition key switch and will have it in later today and will let you know if that fixes the problem.

The ignition switch didn't fix the problem. I am going to leave the battery again overnight to charge.

I used a new battery and the problem was the same. I need a tech2 to see what is wrong with this car the tech 2 I have is vcxdiag..... Problem persists.

I would maybe pause on pulling codes and find what's draining the battery. You could find whatever that malfunction is (short, etc.) Is also preventing you from reading the bus.
