ok so im pretty sure if have all of the fittings and lines set up for my TDO4 15T 6cm to swap into my 1999 9-3. I have two questions. When i went to the local shop to get the lines and such, he meantioned something about the oil drain line, Wether or not i could keep the same flange on the oil pan with the new bigger lines. So i wasn't sure if maybe the oildrain line is the one line that will work from my saab to the new turbo? I've also heard some things about clocking my turbo and I have NO idea what that means. Can anyone help me with these?

u have to reclock the turbo so that the compressor side lines up. I think the oil return thing is not a problem, just throw on a hose with a clamp on it.. if it is the line i am thinking of... also what car did your turbo come from??????

The oil return line is tricky. I have discussed this with Blue 9-3 and there has yet to be an ideal method figured out.Basically the line is held on by its own tension. This is no big deal as normally its a straight shoot. But when you put this on a t5 engine, the drain line needs to bend a little bit. This is why you need a new line. I beleive the diameter on my was 9/16" (inside diameter). So just get a foot or so of the stainless braided hose. I'd get some clamps too. You'll want to just fiddle with it til it looks secure and relatively straight flow. There isn't much pressure as its mostly gravity doing the work. There are pros and cons to thing. Pro is that it isn't likely to burst, con is that the line can't have any kinks in it.

I purchased the exhaust manifold along with my TDO4 15T 6cm from a 9000 aero. I have some pictures here and it LOOKS like everyhting will line up correctly and i won't need to "clock" the turbo. The manifold from the 9000's is slgihtly different than my '99 9-3's. the 9000's manifold does not slope toward the engine like mine does. Perphaps this causes the turbo to fit properly?

Would -6An be a good size for the drain line, and then just get a 14mm fitting for the turbo and hook the hose up to the oil pan somehow?
I beleive 4AN is the size for the three smaller lines. Check summitracing.com to see what hose has an ID of 9/16" for the oil drain. You should have a little shpicket on the turbo and the one on the oil pan of course. Just get the line and clamp the two ends on.

an ID of 9/16" is a -10AN fitting. The guy i talked to at the "race" shop i visited said that would be way to big?
Well that is the size I'm using, so I dunno...

Also the Shpicket that you meantioned, would this work for coming off the turbo as the drain line, and just attach the hose to this and then the oil pan?
Yes, the spicket should be intact and you just attach the ss hose to this.
