Hi,

I was just taking a look under the hood last evening and I found something like a contact switch loose behind the battery unit  . It's look like the plastic frame around suppose to be standing somewhere but where? Anyboby know what this ''push'' switch is? I try them with ou without the engine running and nothing happen.

Sorry I didin't take pic of that but I will try!

thanks

That is a plunger switch which I assumed was there to detect when the hood isn't fully closed. I've never tried it, but I thought you would get a SID warning if the hood was released while driving.

Is your switch still sticking up so the hood compresses the plunger when closed? If your switch is laying down sideways and you are not getting any warning messages, then perhaps the switch is damaged.
