I looked this up in Mitchell On Demand in the TSB
What has happened is that the gas deposits in the cat and when you give it gas it blows theses out and gas gets past the cat, this is the same smell when you have a bad cat, but i just had a an emissions and it is not bad, so the smell does not mean it is bad
WAYS TO FIX
The TSB said use a better, or hight octane gas
The way to fix for real is to put a different kind of cat on it like a profromance, but a new Saab cat will not solve the problem beacuse it is caused by the type of cat saab they used.
