It was a sad day when I found out my old Honda Civic had a rear suspension setup infinitely more advanced than my much more expensive and newer Saab's.

Its semi independant for a reason. I dont think I would want an independant rear suspension set up on our saabs. A semi independant helps alot with the stiffness of the rear. It's more difficult to get a rear end independant setup to handle correctly. at least thats my opinion. If im wrong ill spark conversation :)

Yeah, you are right. Thank goodness Saab didn't go for independent with our cars. They'd probably be complete crap! But, if all these other companies were doing it at the time! I had a 94 Probe with a fully independent rear. It was a really great handling car for FWD.
