Here is a picture of my stock tires after 1000mi, 1 autox, and Phase 2 Evolution school. No wonder these tires were so grippy. They are way too soft for autox'ing.

wow.....what tires are they? the RE92's? those sucked on my 2002 wrx.....didnt last too long, and that was before i autocrossed!

Check the traction index against some of the dedicated Auto-x tires. You might find that "real" auto-X tires are every bit as soft, or softer. Traction is a good thing!

These are the RE011's, that come stock on the 9-2x. I had planned on replacing them with Falkens or Hankook's anyway. Just didn't think I would have to do it so soon.
