As I purchased a rather natty sports wheel at the Saab market in Trollhattan back in June, is there a special extractor required to remove the steering wheel on a 1991 900 Aero... or can it be be removed by standard means, with a 'gentle' tap on the rim from the back?

Thanks
as always.....

As you pull, gently wiggle it side to side.
Be careful not to smack yourself in the head with the wheel.
I leave the nut on a few turns, just in case!!:)

22mm socket for the nut, and pull.
I just installed a Carlsson wheel on my C900. I didn't center the wheel properly the fisrt time and it took a hell of a tug to get it back off. The stock wheel came off very easily.

Putting the new one back on is the harder bit. Make sure you have the wheel centered before you pull it off. Put the new wheel on also centered. Now, I put the washer onto a socket extension, place the head of the extension against the bolt end and slide the washer into place. Then put the nut into the socket and carefully place it against the bolt end. Turn it on by hand before tightening...
