It is likely worth trying the trick to cut out a piece of soda/beer can (1 cm x 1 cm square) and insert it into the ISM to prevent the spring from engaging. You pull back the mechanism with a pick & insert the cut out can piece. This should allow the key to turn & start your car.

That will not work with bad SCL.

I'll take your next SCL replacement at your 30 mins.
I must be unskilled, because I can not replace locked SCL within 30 mins.

I think we are talking past one another.

I am suggesting he try blocking the spring in the ISM. You are saying that won't work with a broken SCL and I am questioning whether we even know the SCL is the root cause.
