Hi Guys i have a 2004 convertible 93. all has been ok until the battery went flat or failed. after charging the battery and testing with a know good battery cant turn the key and have the message all the time, Steering whel can turn and is not locked.

I removed the ISM to clean however can see that it has been opened before along with many mising screws on console. still same problem.

if i buy a damaged sedan of same year can i use all the parts like ISM and the computer if needed??

also this car has had a problem with airbag malfunction light since i bought it, not sure if related??

hoping for some ideas.

You have bad CIM, based on your ISM and Airbag fault codes.

Hi thank you for the reply. Can i use CIM from another year car or a sedan?? mine is a convertible. If i buy secondhand CIM with matching key do i still need to have programmed?

Yes.
You have to reprogram it with TECH2 anyway.
