I have a spring compressor that has to go inside the spring. I think that the bump stop might be in the way and will prevent me from using this spring compressor. Does anybody have any experienc changing springs with this kind of compressor?
Also where can I buy, borrow the saab spring compressor?

"Borrow" is really the only option - you won't like the price. It is available from Saab - over $1000, I think...

Spring compressors

I think unless your prepared to buy some for atleast $4-500 you'll have to go with the basic ones, they are alot of trouble but you can do the job with them, I'm sure there was a rescent thread detailing all the fun people have had swapping springs.

i just had both front springs changed at my friendly classic 900 specialist in Haarlem... and it took him about 15 minutes for both sides, using the Saab tool... dont think there are many specialists around who would be prepared to lend the thing, though.

Would one of those compressors that goes in the middle of the spring work? The bump stops seems to be in the way.
