Americans can't seem to figure out the 1 rear fog light idea, so I am wanting to get the second. I have been looking through other threads that say you just need the bulb, but my left side slot just has a cover.

Does anybody know the part number for the bulb holder, and maybe where online I can get one. The closest dealer is an hour away and I really don't like giving them money to begin with.

The EPC shows that the taillight assembly contains three sockets. It would appear that the reverse and fog lamps use p/n 12 756 379 and the turn signal lamp resides in p/n 12 756 991.

Like you, I removed my r.h. cluster only to find out there was no socket provided for the fog lamp.:(

Please post back if you find an online source for these.

The socket is there, it just has a plastic cover on it. I can probably get that off pretty easy. I am going to mess with it this weekend.

Is there an online EPC that I don't know about or is this on software you bought?

I though mine was just missing, but it was a while ago that I tried this so I'm not really certain.

I am not aware of an online EPC

I can't really say that I bought it.:nono; It can be downloaded using one of those torrent apps. PM me if you need more info than that.

The plastic cover was kind of a pain in the butt. I had to take the tail light assy out and cut the cover off to match the brake light hole. I put a light in and it works like a champ. There are several numbers on the bulb holder but I can't find any of them on the internet.

I am going to the dealer tomorrow for my last free service, so I'll check with them then. They were supposed to call me back the other day but didn't. Bug surprise there.

So of course the dealer couldn't figure out their a-hole from a ground hole...he couldn't figure out how to get a hold of a bulb holder either. The search continues.

I forgot to write down the part number, but I am pretty sure it was the 12 756 379. It is the same bulb holder as the brake light...#4 on the EPC.

The ones on my Volvos ('98 & '01) look pretty much the same. I'm wondering if one of those might fit. How did you get the tail light assembly out to remove the plastic blanking plug?

There are 4 nuts inside (1 on top, 1 on bottom, 2 middle) and 2 T-30 bolts on the outside, of course disconnect the wiring harness then it just slides back.

removing the plastic plug, you have to cut it to match the brake light (top one)
