So i finally got around to knocking up a splash guard as its started to rain again (We've been in drought for a good 5yrs now!). Well after covering the bottom bit and getting a bit of rain i noticed that my air filter was still getting water in there.

After a bit of digging i've figured the culprit is the pre-facelift bumper having a massive vent thingy in the front that isn't completely covered

Has anyone fabricated anything to cover this? Or should i bite the bullet and cut up my airbox... Though im concerned the airbox will just turn into a giant bucket...

Thoughts, opinions and experience on this one?

Rain wont be an issue, only it being submerged. The vent in the front of mine is covered by part of the guard under the radiator. I was actually thinking of removing that part when I got round to building a guard under the filter.
