Hi Everyone,

I bought some Denso Iridium IKH22's which came with a pre-gap of .4mm.

I re-gaped them to .8mm using an OEM 25023 Combination Tune up gauge.

I did a bit of reading on the net about gaping iridium plugs and a lot of people said it was a big no-no, but I guess searching for anything on the net is going to usually return the negative.

Anyway, I gaped the plugs but I'm concerned with 2 of the plugs, they have slight imperfections on the electrodes, because I'm not a mechanic, I don't know what the tolerance should be for these "imperfections". I'm worried that as a result of the re-gaping, I might have scratched them up a bit as well.

I've attached a pic, do you think they look ok?

They look perfectly fine. youll know when they need replaced. the ground electrode will begin to corrode away and the center electrode will be worn down to a needle point. plus the seal will be dirty, unless you just cleaned them

Thanks everyone, so far everyone's opinion is that they're fine.

They are brand new after all. I'm just the OCD type and I wasn't sure if the imperfections were normal or not.
