I have an 1988 Convertible and now have a set of Ronal 15" rims. Went to mount and they would not fit, rubbing on the inside. They are 15 X 7. I took a measurement as to the off set and came up with 38mm, does that sound right. I am not sure as how to space this rim so it does not rub, and I can use them. Will think about tire size after I solve this problem. Any help is greatly appreciated.

15x7 is pretty wide but it shouldn't be too hard to find spacers in varying thicknesses; if you need over an inch or so, you'll want spacers that mount to the hub and have their own studs for the wheel. When I was looking (idle speculation about widening track and flaring the fenders, but don't mind me...) I believe I found that spacers for some Peugeots share the same 4x108 bolt circle and 65.1 hub diameter (see here for your specs: https://www.wheel-size.com/size/saab/900/1988/ ) Just mount the wheel, measure how much you want to move it out, and space accordingly.

EDIT: This may be useful to you: https://www.wheel-size.com/calc/
