So me and a friend were driving on the freeway to get to an autozone and when we get there we smell burning. We pop the hood and theres smoke coming from the back of the engine somewhere, and its leaking oil on the ground. Is this most likely from the transmission? the engine oil levels are fine..

You're going to have to crawl under the car and try and find a more specific location for this mystery oil. Could be a multitude of places and things.

And also monitor the oil level very carefully.

Use a pipe cleaner, if necessary, to detect the level line..
