Hello- I discovered a small hole in the side of my intercooler - it is on the outside of one of the solid looking parts (not the upper or lower tank - its in one of the metal tower like things) - not in the fins. Is this a problem?
Seems like you should clean it well, pack it with JB Weld, or an aluminum solder and call it good. Will cause a small air leak at this point but seems usable for non or light boosted driving.
I blew some air through it while the exit was stuffed with a rag and that hole had quite a bit af air flowing out of it. I'm trying to work my way up towards 20psi of boost, so I'm guessing the hole is not helping me. I cut a piece of angle aluminum and jb welded it on there, hopefully that'll fix it and give me more boost pressure.
