I know this is a frivolous question but I have OCD and it's bothering me:

What type of gas cap did SAAB install on the 288 "Springtime in Sweden" edition convertibles imported to the U.S. in 1988?

I just bought one and it has a locking gas cap on it I'm guessing was added by a prior owner because there is no locking fuel door.

I'd like to replace what was original to the car. I've read claims (on eBay listings) that SPGs alternately had a red or green gas cap and that the cap on SPGs read "Premium Unleaded Fuel Only", but I'm not sure if the SiS had a normal black gas cap, a locking gas cap, a green gas cap or a red gas cap. Also, did it specify to use only premium unleaded fuel on the cap?

Thanks in advance to anyone in the know.

Red or green.
The premium fuel label was a separate stick-on decal.
Locking Gas Caps were also sold as official SAAB accessories and were required in some markets.
