Hi all,

Does anyone know if there is supposed to be a warning chime if you open your door and leave the car with the side lights on?

Mine doesn't, so presumably it's a Tech II programming option.

Well, does this mean another trip to the expensive garage then or can it be done myself?

It will need to be done by somebody with a Tech II, rather than paying through the nose just to get it done i'd wait until my next main dealer visit and get it done the same time as a service etc. You could also scan through the list of Tech II options and get them changed at the same time... eg rolling door lock, horn beep for alarm set etc. :cheesy:

They do work The alarm is to remind you that you have left your lights on. If you open the door and every time you are listening for the alarm sound, you will also remember to check your light..Voila ! :cheesy:

All sorted now with the "Ding Dong" warning when the side lights are left on and the key removed. A Tech 2 tweak was all that was needed.

Saves my battery too as I'm a bit forgetfull lately:roll:
