‘06 9/3 2.9T vert. W/ 87k miles. I was driving w/ about a 1/2 full tank when the fuel gauge dropped to zero. I shut the car off and restarted it. The fuel gauge appears to working fine now; but should I have it replaced anyway? They car needs to go into the shop next week for other tweaks and I can have the sender replace for about $500 then. I Just don’t want to spend the money if it’s not clear that the sender is the problem. Will a failing sender throw a code? Thanks

Thanks guys. I’ll try the cleaner and hold off on replacement. It’s possible that it’s a electronic glitch. I’ve had those on both my Saabs over the years too.
