That is strange as I did mine the other day it it worked fine.

I turned on the engine so the check message comes up then press and hold for 8 seconds. Just wait for bing.

That was it.

If not then there must be a fault, unless the TECH II has an option to make a reset like this redundant. But why would yours be set and not mine on same model?

Cannot help more! Get dealer to sort it as you should not have this issue.

P.s. Holding the CLEAR button down just doesn't work no matter how many different ways I do it.

To reset the TIME FOR SERVICE message:
  • Press CLEAR once to remove any messages which may be on the screen.
  • Then.............hold down the CLEAR button on the SID unit.
  • After 4 seconds, the unit will beep and "CLEAR" will be displayed.
  • After 8 seconds, the unit will beep again and "SERVICE" will be displayed.
  • Release the CLEAR button to complete the reset.

Hi again,
I have done everything everyone has said to do, but it still doesn't seem to work. It comes up with a CLEARED message after a few seconds, but nothing after that.

If it helps, there doesn't seem to be a SID unit. The CLEAR button is on the steering wheel. SOrry have only just bought this car!

Thanks!
