My MY2008 9-3 SW sat nav has regular 'disk read error' which freezes screen. I have seen this on other postings - is there a fix? Cleaning is often suggested but no-one seems to resolve it just by that, Beginning to worry that's why car was a good price??

i'm getting a bit fed-up with the oem nav. i've brought the issue of "disk read error" 3 times to my dealership and all they did was clean it which worked for about 2 weeks, and now its worse than ever. But now I'm OOW with regards to that.

mmm, i started with the same issue, then the satnav wouldnt eject the dvd, dealer replaced unit twice and gave me a new disc. Ive had that problem maybe twice in two years.

Try a new disc. They do come out of the printer bad from time to time. I dont even have that issue with my copy of the original...
