Well I finally got the new clutch fitted on friday. I also had a new Slave and Master cylinder done at the same time.

Results? Well its much smoother that the old one and this more than compensates for the fact that it is slightly heavier but only very slightly.
In normal driving I wouldnt really notice a difference tbh which is great as I expected it to be a bit more brutal in its action. It certainly sounds like a nicer option than the more on/off uprated friction plate designs.

I havent tested it under high stress as I'm currently on Stage 0 anyway
but it certainly feels really solid under power and Maptun still use it up to 500bhp so I'm sure its well up for the job!

Tony at Triple8 has also been really good and in the end he gave me the group discount price we negotiated (but without the group!) so I paid £308 for the lot including VAT and postage. Still needed a friction disc and release bearing on top though.

I reckon he would still do this price if you mail/call him on:

er - no - thus the problems with the group buy - Sachs never got back to us with a decent answer. If you have a 240mm flywheel, on the B234L then I am 95% sure it will fit.
Its the 5% that worries me... Note that Maptun specify it for the 1993 Aero but I cant find some-one who's installed it on a pre-1993 car.
You should give it a try - its only a 5hr job

Another option - I've still got the standard pressure plate (same dimensions as the uprated one). If you can get your hands on a standard PP for you car we can compare measurements??
