I finally had the OEM clutch start slipping at 135k in my 2006 Aero Sportcombi.

Since its tuned, I figure why chance it and ordered the uprated SACHs clutch(001783.999992) vs risking saving a few bucks on an OEM replacement.

Dropped it off to get my local Saab expert to install it for me, get it back and noticed the clutch engagement is literally an inch off the floor.

I thought since it's close to OEM (minus maybe a slighter stiffer pedal), that it would slip/grab close to stock. There is no chatter or anything, just a really abrupt engagement.

My mechanic thought it might be the wrong clutch for car, but I verified part # with SACHs.

Just seeing if anyone else has had similar issue with this clutch?

I think it may be some air still in the line.

typical of a sachs clutch; if it really bothers you do a smokey hard launch in second slipping the clutch. FIFY! Otherwise, live with it; as the clutch lining wears the pedal will come up more and more. You have gotten used to high engagement as your clutch was dying, now you have to readjust. LUK do a SAC (Self Adjusting Clutch ) so pedal height remains constant pretty much but they are weak as fark.
