hi, i just got my saab 900 turbo running. it was sitting in my fathers yard for two years before i got to it.. i replaced the ecu and it started right up.. easy fix.. lmao after checking all the wire conections and two failure fuel pumps, and a clutch master cylinder now thats its running i have some Questions, my turbo is the first turbo saab in my family what would be the reason for its idle to be set at almost 1200rpms just by sitting or pre set? and what are turbos normally set at?

Vacuum leaks are most likely the cause of the high idle. The most reliable way to do this is replace them all. It is really quite easy to miss a leak by just looking. The idle should be around 850 rpms, which usually looks about 2 needle widths below the "1" on the tach.
