Hi there all...

Probably this question has popped up before but still...

I own 9-3 TiD and I was offered to buy a 2002 9-5 aero wagon with 270.000 km on the clock. It has an automatic transmission built in. The car was owned by saab fan off course but nevertheless...

Main question: What problems should I expect with this mileage? What about auto trans? In general were there a lot of problems with trans? Engine in general with this mileage?

Thnx for all answers / advice.

Can the owner provide maintenance records? It would help if you knew what was already done.

...not yet. Available next week. I presume it was serviced in proper manner due to saab enthusiasm ownership....

I was just interested in general "durability" of the engine and trans... regarded to the mileage that car has.

Thnx.

I read in this forum that the 02 transmissions were a bit problematic and there was a very complicated TSB on one procedure regarding linkage realignment that involved pretty much disassembling the entire shift linkage route. However with this many miles it probably wont be an issue with this car.
