Sorry, it appears nobody knows. Saab's recommended oil is MTF 0063.

Hi there, i'm not sure what the 9-5 uses. in my 1994 NG900 I used red line MTF. Worked great. The royal purple stuff is very very good. I used the ATF in my BMW 540I 6 Speed Manual gearbox. It calls for ATF synchro mesh. So the royal purple was the best!
