It seems after my 3" DP and Stage 3 upgrade my car is running a bit rich

What are the negative effects on a tunned Saab if it is running too rich, apart from using more fuel?



Is it better to run too rich than too lean?

Yep, running rich is normal and safe. look at the tailpipe on any Turbo car.

Lean, bad thing is it, yes! Turn to the dark side :cheesy:

Yes, too lean can easily lead to the melting of pistons and destruction of internals. Running too rick can only resuly in loss of power and maybe clogging some things up.

not exctly true unfortunatly, if you engine is running to rich it can result in the excess fuel passing the piston rings and washing the cylinder bores clean of oil causing premature cyl' ware
