I know this comes under the catagory of who care but try this for kicks.

If you hoold you key in one your hand and insert your finger into the ignition you can actually start and run the car without the key.

Yes who cares but you may not have know this about your 9-3

I tried it but I think my thumb is too sensitive and hurt like hell so didn't get to start it.

But in the case that your fob is crushed but the electronics is still active you can use your thumb or something to turn it and start the car. A key factoid to know in case that happens. I think.

I unfortunately do not have big man thumbs, as such, my thumb simply spins in the hole. I have tried lifting weights but no benefit to my thumb. Perhaps I will respond to one of the next emails I get for thumb enhancement products oon-line.

Finally tried it again, my thumb is too fat! Or wide, not neccessarily fat, I can't push the bottom part all the way down to unlock the steering wheel. Maybe some thumb excercies will help that?
