So when I have my lights on my car stalls in reverse and @ idle. What gives... this only happens when the lights are on... I have also disabled the day time running lights by pulling it's fuse does that have anything to do with this?

Also. I have a 95 9k with 104K if timing belt breaks will it destroy my valves... should I go ahead and change the belts or am I fine if it is not showing symptoms?

thanks everybody.

you have an fpt, therefore a 4cyl engine, no timing belt, a chain, typically this chain [plus the chain drive for the balancer shafts] should last a long time if you get a horrible rattle sound from the LH side of the engine it maybe time for a chain change.

As for the lights thing, do you have an automatic?

what is your rpm in N & R if its too low the extra load on the alt' could cause the engine to stall, when in D there is a switch that raises the idle speed to compensate for the load of the gearbox, you could have a gummed up throttle housing , its worth giving that a good clean out to see if that helps
